“I got my car inspected and was told I needed new rear brakes. The independent shop quoted me $750 for rear pads and rotors which was absurd. I called a few other local independent shops that quoted $550, a bit more reasonable. Then I decided to try instant car fix and was a little skeptical about the quality. I tried calling and messaging but they were unresponsive. I booked online but had questions about OEM-equivalent pads and rotors but no one answered their messaging system. The price was much more manageable and cost around $350. The mechanic came out same-day and was very nice. Did all the work right in our driveway, showed us pictures and the old items to show that I truly did need the work done. He showed me the parts he was putting in which were of high quality. Car passed the re-inspection at the original shop and said the repair was done well. It was nice being in my own home while the work was done instead of being in the shop waiting room or coordinating a pickup and dropoff. The mechanic was quick and efficient. And best of all, it was much cheaper than going to a shop. Only complaint is the poor communication beforehand and the long time window to wait. Although, the mechanic messaged me about 40 minutes before he came out. Despite these minor issues, I'll be using them again and would recommend you give them a try.”

“With regards to price, the work done, the mechanics professionalism, customer support, etc were 5 stars. Didn't go with 5 start because of issues with the system. It sent a message saying the mechanic would be there in 21 minutes, which was problematic for a number of reason: 1) It meant the mechanic would arrive at the location before my scheduled window; the location was somewhere I planned to be, so I had to leave early; 2) The mechanic was not there in 21 minutes. Overall I'd say 4.4, which rounds down to a 4. I'd use them again.”

“Amazing service. I work on my own car but had a cv axel stuck and was done trying to pry it out. I called them and paid ahead of time for service to be done the next day. The mechanic calls and shows up an hour later, which was even better. You can tell he had a lot of experience and tools because he got the axel out in 30 minutes, while it took me 6 hours and a lot of cuss words and got no where. Pricing was average if not cheaper . I feel like VA car and tire would have charged me double and I would have had to drop it off. Great experience, I will use them again if needed.”

“I had an issue with my car starting even after jumping it. Sergio came and was able to diagnose the issue and even get the starter to work as a temporary fix enough to get my car moved. The price they quoted me to fix it was very fair for the part and labor even when compared to an auto store or elsewhere though I ended up trying to fix it myself. I also really appreciated how helpful the person on the phone was who gave me advice and scheduled us. All of this ended up being a better deal then towing my car to a shop. I haven't always had the best of luck with mechanics, but I am glad I was able to find these guys and would absolutely recommend them.”

“Service standards are miles ahead of most other mobile mechanics. I needed a diagnostic appointment to figure out why my car wouldn't start. Came to Yelp's site first, as I knew they'd be able to reach out to several highly rated mobile mechanics for me with just one click. Most of the mechanics responded to my Yelp inquiry with only a phone number. Not only was Instant Car Fix the first to respond; they also included a quote for the diagnostic service I needed. When I asked about availability, Instant Car Fix immediately engaged me via text, personally responding to more of my questions, and securing a service appointment for me for the following morning - which was great! Even better: I was then told minutes later that a mechanic was freed up to provide the diagnosis that evening if I was available (I was). The mechanic assigned was friendly, knowlegeble, and did a visibly thorough job in diagnosing and communicating my problem: car needs a new starter.
